"Stratis" Born out of Necessity

Stratis was developed in 2001-2002 when Doyle Sails realised the necessity for long lasting light weight sails that were need across the industry from racing sails that lasted longer, to Superyacht sails that physically required the structure of high modulus fibres in order to take the loads that were generated, through to cruising yachts that wanted lighter sails that were easier to handle.
The Stratis Factory started out in a small development loft in Auckland and soon had to move to a 1000m2 Factory. Late in 2008 it was moved to its current location in New Zealand and part of a 6500m2 production facility.

The New factory has two production beds one of 35m and a second of 50m allowing for sails to be produced from Dingy’s to the largest Superyachts.
