WELCOME TO OUR SPRING/AUTUMN SUPERYACHT NEWSLETTER
Thank you for taking the time to open this newsletter. Northern hemishere Spring or Southern hemisphere Autumn; whichever season you are going in to it is probably time to be making decisions for the forthcoming sailing season.
As a subscriber to this newsletter we assume that you know something about Doyle and the Stratis membrane product that we manufacture exclusively for Doyle lofts globally. I would like to now invite you to read on to find out the reasons why the largest and most successful superyachts around the world are ordering Doyle Stratis sails and to let you know about the support that the New Zealand superyacht team provides.
As well as building finished sails, Doyle Sails NZ also supplies Stratis membranes exclusively to Doyle lofts worldwide where our partner lofts put together our membrane panels, add hardware and generally finish the sails to suit their local market.
St Barths Bucket
In late March the Doyle NZ superyacht team, along with many Doyle international representatives, travelled to St Barths to support our customers training and racing at the 2011 St Barths Bucket.
The St Barths Bucket is the premiere racing event in the superyacht calender and an event renown for its conditions which make it ideal for racing superyachts. This year was no exception with perfect trade winds and small swells for the duration of the racing.
Doyle was well represented at the Bucket with a good portion of the fleet using Doyle sails, and most of these were using Doyle Stratis. The three largest yachts at the regatta, Maltese Falcon, Mirabella V and Kokomo 3 were all using Doyle sails; Kokomo's and Mirabella's sails were all built at the NZ Stratis facility.
Among those competing with Doyle sails were:
Maltese Falcon
Mirabella V
Kokomo 3
P2
Symmetry
Paraiso
Moonbird
Drumbeg
Axia
Song of the Sea
Blue Too
The performance of the sails was widely praised by captains and crew and much favourable comment was directed towards the aesthetics of the sails and the standard of finishing. Smart features such as batten pockets laminated into the membrane to create a low profile sail certainly caught the eyes of the fleet.
The Doyle NZ Superyacht team is dedicated to providing technical support and sharing knowledge with its customers wherever they are sailing.

THE NZ SUPERYACHT MARKET
The strength of the New Zealand marine sector appears to be gaining momentum again after a few flat years which were adveresly affected by the global financial situation. Orders are picking up at the major superyacht builders around the country, and associated businesses are appreciating the upswing in business.
At Doyle NZ the order book is filling with local superyacht contracts awarded for the sails for a Dubois 50 metre in build at Fitzroy Yachts, a 100 foot Warwick design catamaran at Yachting Developments and a 43 metre Dubois design at Alloy Yachts.
New Zealand is renown as one of the premiere places worldwide to build a sailing superyacht for quality and value; at Doyle Sails NZ we are proud that our product has also been chosen to complement these projects.
DOYLE NZ SERVICE PROGRAMME
The number of yachts sailing with Stratis is increasing monthly and our competitors do not appear to be matching the excellent results in the performance and durability of the sails that we now are seeing.
In addition to producing sails to an unrivalled standard we also offer the highest level of support and service for our customers. Doyle Sails NZ's superyacht team acts as coordinator for service and repair work wherever you are in the world. A phone call from the captain or manager outlining what is required, where the yacht will be and what time frame we have got is all that is needed. From here our team will take care of all arrangements for you from pick up from the yacht to final invoicing.
We aim to make it as easy as possible; our Superyacht team, with thousands of sea miles under their belts, appreciate how hectic it can be for captains and crew with busy schedules.
